OFSTED report

We are thrilled to share the exciting news of our recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on January 12th 2023. We happy to share that we received a Good grading. This achievement is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and ambition of our entire school community.

One of the standout strengths highlighted by the inspectors was our exceptional focus on reading. At Wentworth CofE J&I, we firmly believe in the power of reading to unlock a world of knowledge and imagination. The report commended our commitment to promoting a love for reading among our students. Our skilled and passionate staff create engaging and interactive reading experiences, instilling a lifelong love of books in our pupils. This recognition of reading as a strength of our school is a testament to our ongoing efforts to nurture confident and enthusiastic readers.

Leadership was also recognized as a strong suit of Wentworth CofE J&I. The inspectors commended our ambitious approach to ensuring that all pupils achieve their full potential. We are dedicated to providing a broad and balanced curriculum that not only nurtures academic excellence but also broadens horizons. Our curriculum is carefully designed to spark curiosity, develop critical thinking skills, and foster a love for learning in our students. This recognition of our ambitious leadership reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional education that prepares our pupils for success both in and beyond the classroom.

We are also proud to have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents and carers. In the Ofsted parent view, the majority of parents expressed their satisfaction with the school and stated that they would recommend it to others. One parent wrote, "The school has a wonderful atmosphere. The teachers care so much about the children and their learning." We greatly value the partnership between our school and parents, as we believe that strong collaboration is key to a child's success. The recognition of parents and carers as positive advocates of Wentworth CofE J&I further affirms our commitment to building a supportive and inclusive school community.
