About Us
At Wentworth, we nurture a compassionate community where everyone flourishes, rooted in a Christian environment that reflects God’s love and purpose for us all.
Rooted in community
Working with hope
Leading with love
“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.”
1 Corinthians 16:13
Through a love of learning, a curious mind and the awe and wonder of the world around us, we grow into the people God calls us to be. Guided by God’s plan and inspired by Christ’s example, we embrace challenge, strive to improve and recognise the difference we can make for others.
We are a small, popular and vibrant Church of England school located in the rural South Yorkshire village of Wentworth. Our school is a listed building, originally built in 1837, which has been altered and modernised over time. We place great importance on our role within the local community and provide opportunities to strengthen links with both the church and the surrounding village.
We have five classrooms, a library and a fully equipped immersive learning hall. To nurture the curiosity and enjoyment that outdoor learning brings, we also have hard-surface play areas, a large field and a woodland forest area.
Our four classes are taught by dedicated, experienced and caring staff, who place the utmost importance on valuing the individuality of each child. We are committed to ensuring that both children and adults thrive and reach their full potential through enriched opportunities, an enquiring mind and a lifelong love of learning.
